Robert Kramer has been in the appraisal business for more than twenty years. Before that, he was a realtor and owner of Century 21 Higgins here in Goshen. In 2000, he was joined by his son, Mark Kramer, and then Kelly Kramer, Mark's wife, in 2001.  Tracy King and Tammy Heckaman complete the staff.

While most of our work is done with residential properties, we also perform small commercial properties as well.

Our current turnaround time for appraisals is 4 to 7 business days, depending on the type of appraisal.  Typically, we schedule the inspection of the property within the first 24 to 48 hours, and the report will be completed within three business days. 

We are all FHA Approved, and are familiar with the recent HUD changes to the mortgage and appraisal industry. 

Elkhart County is home to Elkhart, Goshen, Nappanee, Middlebury, New Paris and other smaller towns.  We are well-acquainted with all of these areas, and the importance of the locations within the popular school districts of Middlebury, Wa-Nee, and Fairfield. 

Similarly, the areas in St. Joseph County of South Bend, Mishawaka, and Granger. South Bend is the home of the University of Notre Dame, and is the largest city in our coverage area.

Kosciusko County is home to Lake Wawasee, the largest natural lake in Indiana, covering over 3,000 acres.  Properties on the lakes in Syracuse and the surrounding lake areas require an appraiser with the expertise in lake frontage.  Kramer Appraisals certainly has this, as Robert lives on a channel of lake Wawasee and knows the area very well.
